These upcycled shorts were made from an eight point star lattice quilt. The quilt itself was made pre-1910s, and has been maded in some spots along the way. Because of the age there are some light wear spots that were unavoidable in the construction of this garment. I love these shorts especially because of the patterns matching in the front the way they do! The red stripe makes the other other nuetral toned stripe blend in, like an optical illusion. The shorts also have two mates up in the shop, a button up and a hoodie!
There has been some mending done to the hoodie, as it is over a century old, but all mending and patchwork is done as clean and tidy as possible:)
